“I want to help create an investment
experience that gives our clients a sense of security
and peace of mind.”
I was fortunate to have been exposed to personal financial concepts at an early age. Dinner table conversations about savings and investment were common and spurred my interest. I can laugh about it now, but my first purchase at age nine was a small toy safe that secured and protected the little cash I had. My resolve grew when I personally witnessed the absence of financial education throughout our schooling. When given the opportunity, I would be an advocate for those seeking a positive planning and investment experience.
I am a proud graduate of Boston College High School, Class of 2011. I took public transportation to school each day - a rich experience that gave me an appreciation for our city's diversity, history, and culture. While a student, I represented my school running cross-country, an experience that emphasized teamwork and made enduring friendships possible.
A family holiday at a Wyoming guest ranch led to my first work experiences over six succeeding summers. My responsibilities grew with time and my role evolved from being a ranch hand to back country guide responsible for guest welfare. It was challenging work that demanded patience, persistence, and preparation.
I majored in finance at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business and thereafter joined Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) in Austin, Texas. During my nearly seven years at DFA, I served as a Regional Director. In this role I worked closely with financial advisors communicating the merits of the firm's investment approach and ground-breaking capital market research. I continued my education and secured my Certified Financial Planner - CFP®, certification.
I am excited to return to Boston; it is a wonderful opportunity to learn from the ALENA Wealth team while supporting our clients in pursuit of their goals. When not working, I enjoy golf, reading, walking our border collie with my partner Caitlin, and watching the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots earn championships.
