“I am fortunate and grateful
for the experiences I've shared.”

I am a first-generation Italian American born to immigrant parents in Bayside, New York. Our family relocated to Winter Park, Florida where my siblings and I enjoyed the pre-Disney wilderness of the Orlando area. I later returned to the Northeast to attend college and work.

My career took a positive turn when I revisited a childhood fascination with money and investing. I sought inspiration and found it with mentors who understood and deployed money wisely. I studied and imitated them.

It was not long before supportive colleagues and opportunities to help others appeared. I earned the CFP® credential through Boston University and became its first graduate to join the Financial Planning faculty. I am proud to have served Boston University and hundreds of students over the last twenty years.

My professional partner Lena and I co-founded ALENA WEALTH in 2008. Visitors to our Lexington office find patient listeners and objective counsel within a caring environment. My primary role in the firm is a simple one - improve the likelihood of our clients realizing their goals.

I respect our clients' stories and never tire of hearing new ones. We appreciate learning about their values and resources and delight in helping them navigate our noisy world.

I met and married my wife Cathy in 1990. We have three adult children - Michael, Anya and Anthony. Together we have loved, laughed and travelled our beautiful world. In recent years, we have explored the European cities of Berlin, Prague, Budapest, and Lugano. Other favorite holidays include exploring the Amalfi Coast, trekking in Patagonia, and joining a safari through Botswana's Okavango Delta.

When not working, I volunteer time with local church and campus ministries. I seek to inspire and support the mental and spiritual health of young men and women. My hobbies include writing, reading, skiing, cycling and collecting select baseball and business memorabilia. My most significant non-professional achievements include raising three children and publishing The Artist and the Innkeeper, a well-received novel within the historical fiction genre. (Learn more at www.alanioffredo.com).
